Process Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Yankton, South Dakota, United States. The position requires access to ITAR/EAR-controlled information and is open only to U.S. Persons.

What you will do

• Engineer assigned products from design inception through finished production, including manufacturing processes and controls.
• Control design, testing, and production engineering for routine to moderately complex projects.
• Fabricate or direct prototype fabrication, redesign components after testing, and maintain product documentation.
• Design and improve production equipment, test fixtures, tools, and related processes; support equipment commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Investigate production and process problems, identify improvement opportunities, and implement practical solutions with vendors and internal departments.
• Work with customers on product design, specifications, materials, and manufacturing capabilities; travel may be required for customer or field issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Materials, Metallurgical, or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Must be a U.S. Person: U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
• Three to five years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to translate design and process concepts into usable specifications.
• Ability to independently develop or manage complex projects and work effectively as a team member or project leader.
• Strong customer-service orientation.
