Process Engineer - 2nd Shift (PCB)

Location: Onsite at 6457 Fly Road, East Syracuse, New York 13057, United States. Second shift; extensive training on first shift is required. Occasional travel of less than 10% may be required.

Salary: $58,857–$98,095 per year. An annual or quarterly bonus and shift premium may apply depending on the assignment and shift.

What you will do

• Plan, fabricate, maintain, analyze, and improve specialty printed circuit board manufacturing processes and controlled documentation.
• Qualify new processes internally and externally, and evaluate equipment through design of experiments and capability testing.
• Perform root-cause analysis and resolve day-to-day production, process, chemical, mechanical, and equipment issues.
• Program and troubleshoot equipment software while providing technical and analytical support to customers and suppliers.
• Develop procedural changes, manage technical projects, and communicate process, safety, and operational issues to supervisors and managers.
• Handle hazardous waste and follow required safety procedures, PPE assessments, material safety data sheets, and export-control processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–4 years of process engineering experience; experience in PCB fabrication is preferred.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, process control, root-cause analysis, and analytical troubleshooting.
• Strong project management, written and verbal communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work up to 9 hours per day, 5 days per week, including weekends when needed; stand for up to 8 hours and lift up to 45 pounds.
• Due to ITAR requirements, applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
