What you will do

• Provide technical support for research pharmacy operations under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Fill medication orders and develop proficiency in advanced preparations, including sterile and non-sterile compounding.
• Receive, barcode, transfer, store, document, and destroy investigational drugs using research pharmacy accountability systems.
• Perform sterile compounding of hazardous drugs, including serial dilution and mixing multiple ingredients, in accordance with USP <797>, USP <800>, policies, and research protocols.
• Maintain inventory, complete quality control activities, organize study medications, and support monitor visits and regulatory audits.
• Cross-cover receiving, processing, clean room, outpatient pharmacy, infusion, materials management, and Chestnut Hill pharmacy areas as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or current enrollment in an accredited entry-level pharmacy or related degree program.
• At least 2 years of pharmacy technician experience, including 1 year of compounding or outpatient/retail pharmacy experience.
• Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy registration as a Pharmacy Technician is required.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification through PTCB must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations, pharmacy technology systems, clinical research platforms, aseptic technique, sterile and non-sterile compounding, and inventory management.
• Strong communication, teamwork, critical thinking, troubleshooting, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
