Laboratory Specimen Processor (Medical Laboratory)

Location: Onsite in Cincinnati, Dublin, or Itasca, Ohio/Illinois; Brentwood, Tennessee; or Troy, Michigan, United States. Work schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00 a.m.–11:30 a.m., with rotating weekends and possible overtime or additional shifts.

Pay: $17.75–$18.50 per hour.

What you will do

• Receive, sort, and prepare clinical specimens for testing and analysis.
• Scan and enter specimen and patient information accurately.
• Check laboratory equipment, perform minor instrumentation maintenance, and replenish test bench supplies.
• Troubleshoot specimen-related issues and complete required logs and administrative records.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow standard operating procedures for quality and safety.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfort handling biological specimens and accurately identifying specimens.
• Basic computer knowledge and data-entry skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to meet physical requirements and pass a standardized color-blindness test.

Nice to have

• At least three months of specimen-processing experience.
• At least three months of medical or laboratory experience.
