Focus on performing age-specific venipuncture, managing laboratory orders and records, and coordinating timely results with clinical staff.
Location: On-site at a client site in Dubuque, Iowa, United States. Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; travel to additional sites may be required.
Salary: $19.45–$25.29 per hour

What you will do
- Perform phlebotomy and other laboratory specimen collections for patients across all age groups.
- Provide post-phlebotomy care, identify medical assistance needs, and follow patient-safety procedures.
- Label, process, transfer, and track specimens according to established protocols.
- Maintain refrigerator temperatures, quality-control records, equipment, and corrective-action documentation.
- Manage laboratory orders, requisitions, manifests, test results, and related clerical tasks.
- Communicate with patients, client office staff, laboratory personnel, physicians, and coworkers while completing tasks independently.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Phlebotomy certification from a nationally recognized organization or training from a phlebotomy school or medical institution.
- At least one year of phlebotomy experience in a healthcare setting.
- Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Ability to perform collections for infants, adults, geriatric patients, and wheelchair-bound patients.
- Ability to work safely and maintain accurate specimen and laboratory records.
Nice to have
- Experience with diverse patient populations and laboratory specimen processing.
- Experience transferring specimens and operating a centrifuge.
- Familiarity with medical EMR systems and medical terminology.
- Bilingual skills.
