Facilities Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite across manufacturing sites in Ashton-under-Lyne and Bolton, United Kingdom

What you will do

• Lead the facilities function across the Ashton-under-Lyne and Bolton manufacturing sites and manage one Site Services Engineer.
• Oversee fire safety, utilities, boilers, compressed air, HVAC, building maintenance, CCTV, grounds maintenance, pest control, and loss prevention activities.
• Maintain compliance with Legionella, asbestos, DSEAR, health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, cost optimisation, supplier performance, and contractor service-level agreements.
• Lead technical CAPEX and OPEX projects, energy-efficiency initiatives, sustainability programs, and preventative maintenance.
• Develop KPIs, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with EHS, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, R&D, Finance, and HR.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience managing utilities, building services, and infrastructure projects.
• HNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
• Experience leading Facilities or Maintenance teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation, plus budget and cost-management experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder-management, and contractor-management skills.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Nice to have

• NEBOSH, BOAS, or High Voltage qualifications.
• Knowledge of CDM regulations and Permit to Work systems.
• Experience managing external suppliers and contractors.
