EHS Care Specialist (Nurse)

Location: USA - NC - Charlotte; onsite plant-based role

Salary: $71,900-$98,900 per year

What you will do

• Assess, treat conservatively, refer, and document occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
• Conduct medical surveillance, licensing, pre-employment, fitness-for-duty, DOT, and OSHA-required examinations.
• Administer occupational health, drug and alcohol testing, wellness, and employee assistance programs.
• Coordinate modified-duty assignments, workers' compensation cases, rehabilitation, and return-to-work outcomes.
• Partner with site leadership on risk assessments, incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and safety programs.
• Analyze health and safety data and deliver training to strengthen compliance and site safety culture.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with an associate or bachelor's degree in nursing.
• Current AHA or Red Cross CPR/AED certification.
• At least five years of nursing experience in occupational health or an emergency room setting.
• Knowledge of state workers' compensation law, OSHA requirements, and occupational health regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication, sound judgment, and crisis-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Nice to have

• Certification in spirometry, audiometry, OSHA 30, environmental compliance, or drug and alcohol test collection.
