TL;DR
Cyber Threat Intelligence Senior Specialist (Cybersecurity): Analyzing emerging threats, adversary campaigns, and TTPs while developing intelligence alerts, assessments, and briefings for a utility cybersecurity operations center with an accent on threat research, SOC operations, insider risk investigations, and industry collaboration. Focus on integrating intelligence into incident response, investigating suspected attacks, improving collection priorities and workflows, and protecting critical energy infrastructure.

Location: Hybrid role based in Rosemead, California, US; employees are generally required to work and reside in California. Up to 20% travel across the SCE service territory may be required. Relocation may apply.

Salary: $143,900–$215,800 per year

What you will do

  • Analyze emerging threats, adversary campaigns, TTPs, and dark-web activity to assess risks and support Priority Intelligence Requirements.
  • Execute intelligence operations, including research, alert development and tuning, intelligence platform management, and integration with CSOC incident response.
  • Support technical investigations and insider risk requirements, including suspected attack investigations and appropriate forensic activities.
  • Develop intelligence products, threat assessments, briefings, metrics, dashboards, and reports for technical stakeholders and senior leaders.
  • Collaborate with industry peers and federal partners through public/private partnership programs and report key trends to SCE stakeholders.
  • Improve the Cyber Threat Intelligence program’s capabilities, collection priorities, operating models, toolsets, and workflows.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of experience in information technology, information security, and/or cybersecurity.
  • US citizenship is required.
  • Experience with security risk and vulnerability assessments, business impact analysis, security controls, incident response, and security monitoring.
  • Ability to investigate technology risks and suspected attacks, identify root causes, and support audit evidence production.
  • Must generally work and reside in California and report to an SCE facility for a set number of days under the hybrid work model.
  • Must pass a NERC/CIP Personnel Risk Assessment or Background Investigation and complete specified training before receiving unescorted access.

  • Experience as a technical intelligence analyst in a SOC environment.
  • Knowledge of threat intelligence collection methodologies.
  • Experience with data analysis and threat intelligence platforms.
  • Experience supporting insider risk programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
