Project Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Muscatine Factory, Muscatine, Iowa, United States

Salary: $77,800–$97,300 annual base salary, plus eligibility for a performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Plan, coordinate, and deliver engineering projects on schedule, within budget, and in line with approved objectives.
• Develop and improve internal processes, processing equipment, packaging methods, and factory systems.
• Coordinate technical development, project scheduling, equipment design, testing, and resolution of engineering problems.
• Prepare project scopes, business justifications, cost estimates, savings analyses, appropriation requests, and interim or completion reports.
• Manage capital, asset, cost, and schedule controls, including five-year capital planning and current-year factory budgets.
• Hire and supervise contractors across multiple trades, provide technical support to factories, and drive production, quality, and cost improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or a related field from an accredited engineering school is strongly preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience or full-cycle project engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems, packaging methods and materials, electronics, computer applications, and electrical systems.
• Strong communication, technical presentation, report-writing, analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret technical procedures, regulations, diagrams, schedules, and written or oral instructions.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule covering days, afternoons, midnights, and overtime as needed.
