Commercial Analyst (Pricing)

Location: Charlotte, NC, USA, or Hartsville, SC, USA

Annual base salary: $52,000–$58,500 for the Commercial Analyst level; progression levels range up to $137,610, with a 7.5% annual target bonus for Commercial Analyst IV and Senior Commercial Analyst.

What you will do

• Develop cost estimates and selling prices for assigned customers, markets, and new product prospects.
• Analyze market prices, plant capacity, profitability requirements, raw material trends, and manufacturing costs.
• Design and execute customer price change mechanisms based on cost movements.
• Monitor business won/lost performance and variances between expected, actual, quoted, and plant margins.
• Identify and implement margin improvement initiatives while maintaining key customer relationships.
• Prepare ad hoc analyses for division management and support ethical, policy-compliant business operations.

Requirements

• 3+ years of commercial analyst experience.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Strong analytical, mathematical modeling, organizational, collaboration, and decision-making skills.
• Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
• Understanding of P&L basics and cost accounting principles.
• Ability to manage large amounts of data, meet tight deadlines, and deliver high-quality pricing analysis.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Optivision ERP and Price FX.
• Experience leading multiple concurrent projects and teams.
