Electrical Maintenance Technician (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing)

Location: Mirfield, UK; onsite, Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:30

What you will do

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance, manage work orders in SAP CMMS and respond to breakdowns.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical distribution systems, motor control centres, control panels, drives and field devices.
• Maintain, calibrate and verify process instrumentation and critical site instruments.
• Support PLC, HMI, SCADA and industrial control systems, including fault diagnosis and authorised minor modifications.
• Maintain electrical drawings, loop drawings, schematics, SOPs, calibration records and equipment documentation.
• Support commissioning, qualification, engineering projects, audits and contractor activities while following permit-to-work, isolation, Lockout/Tagout and RAMS procedures.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3, a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation or a related discipline.
• City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and CompEx Ex01–Ex04 Gas and Ex05–Ex06 Dust qualifications.
• Industrial electrical systems, process instrumentation and control systems experience, including PLC fault-finding; Siemens experience is preferred.
• IPAF certification for MEWP operation and knowledge of permit-to-work, electrical isolation and Lockout/Tagout requirements.
• Ability to interpret and update electrical schematics, P&IDs, loop drawings and control system documentation.
• Ability to work safely and accurately in a regulated manufacturing environment and support GMP, COMAH and ATEX compliance.

Nice to have

• City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent Inspection and Testing qualification.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, COMAH, ATEX or highly regulated manufacturing environments.
• Confined Space Entry and Standby Person training.
