Hospital Phlebotomist

Location: Onsite at 747 Broadway, Seattle, Washington, United States; additional listed locations include Issaquah, Washington, and Portland, Oregon. Work schedule: Thursday to Sunday, 1:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. (4x10).

Salary: $21.87–$32.28 per hour, plus second-shift differential.

What you will do

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for patients of all ages.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other analyses.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Enter patient data accurately and process billing information and payments when required.
• Provide customer service and complete necessary administrative and clerical duties.

Requirements

• Washington State phlebotomy license (MA-P) is required.
• An application for a Washington phlebotomy license filed with the Department of Health at the time of hire may satisfy the license requirement.
• Ability to pass a standardized color-blindness test.
• Ability to work overtime as needed and under minimal supervision.
• Strong written and verbal communication, customer service, and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• One or more years of phlebotomy experience.
