Field Service Engineer (Medical Imaging)

Location: Raleigh, NC, United States; field service work requires travel to customer sites, occasional overnight travel, flexible hours, overtime, and on-call availability.

Annual base salary: $64,000–$100,100, bonus eligible.

What you will do

• Install, service, calibrate, and maintain mammography, digital mammography, bone densitometry, and mini C-arm systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, remedial repairs, system checks, and approved hardware and software upgrades.
• Travel to customer sites, respond to technical issues, minimize equipment downtime, and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Train customers on basic product operation and provide pre- and post-sales installation support.
• Manage territory inventory, service records, paperwork, and replacement parts.
• Escalate unresolved problems, report product performance anomalies, and support conventions, trade shows, and customer trials.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of field service experience with X-ray, digital imaging, medical equipment, or a related field is preferred.
• Associate's degree or equivalent in electronics, computer science, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, computer literacy, analytical problem-solving, and professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple activities, and resolve problems in high-pressure customer environments.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and adequate auto insurance are required.
• Ability to travel, work flexible hours and overtime, and remain on call after normal working hours.

Nice to have

• Experience designing, installing, or maintaining computer networks.
