Senior Decision Support Analyst (Healthcare Analytics)

What you will do

• Provide analytics and decision support for internal customers, external business partners, healthcare consultants, brokers, and client managers.
• Deliver, interpret, and advise on client-specific financial, utilization, and performance analytics.
• Translate business requirements into decision support applications and lead complex solution implementations.
• Define analytical studies, methodologies, database designs, and performance measurement approaches.
• Model data sources and flows and collaborate on data management, security, and information governance frameworks.
• Develop complex programs and databases using SAS, R, SQL, DB2, Teradata, and Oracle, then present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer or information science, mathematics, statistics, economics, industrial engineering, operations research, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant progressive experience as a Decision Support Analyst or equivalent.
• Strong experience with large and complex databases, mainframe, PC, and internet-based technologies.
• Proficiency with SAS, R, SQL, database technologies, Microsoft Office, Business Objects, Cognos, and Enterprise Guide.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to present findings and recommendations to senior management.
• Must be able to work from Pennsylvania, United States; the position requires a physical work site.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, healthcare informatics, healthcare management, or a related field.
• 7–10 years of experience independently executing advanced analysis and developing consultative deliverables.
