Phlebotomist (MedTech)

Location: Bethesda, Maryland, United States; additional locations include Richmond, Woodbridge, Henrico, Manassas, Prince Frederick, and Easton, Virginia and Maryland, plus Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. On-site work in a patient service center; travel to additional sites may be required.

Pay range: $17.75–$26.00 per hour, with potential quarterly performance-based incentive payments.

What you will do

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other analyses.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Enter patient data accurately and process billing information and payments when required.
• Provide customer service and perform related administrative and clerical duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification, completion of an accredited training program, or at least 3 months of phlebotomy experience.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to additional sites as needed.
• Availability to work Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., with Saturdays as assigned and overtime when needed.

Nice to have

• At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience.
