Solution Architect (Telecommunications): Designing and evolving resilient carrier-grade network infrastructure across Common Packet Core, IP Access, and Management Networks with an accent on network architecture, modernization, automation, and lifecycle management. Focus on leading complex network transformations, integrating emerging IP technologies, managing major upgrades and cutovers, and solving scalability, resiliency, and operational challenges.
Location: NSW, Australia; hybrid arrangement with three days in the office and two days from wherever works best

What you will do
- Own the architecture, roadmap, performance, and lifecycle management of Common Packet Core, IP Access, and Management Networks.
- Define network growth, resiliency, modernization, decommissioning, and platform optimization strategies.
- Lead adoption of emerging IP technologies, automation, and engineering best practices.
- Provide technical leadership across network design, governance, product integration, vendor management, upgrades, cutovers, and Tier 3 support.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, security, business stakeholders, and vendors to deliver resilient network solutions.
Requirements
- Degree in telecommunications or network engineering.
- 10+ years of experience designing, implementing, and evolving large-scale carrier-grade fixed, mobile, and data networks.
- Expertise in IP networking, routing and switching, MPLS/SRv6, EVPN/VXLAN, cloud and data centre networking, automation, QoS, timing and synchronization, and network security.
- Experience translating business requirements into scalable, cost-effective solutions and leading technology roadmaps, product introductions, proofs of concept, and network transformation initiatives.
- Experience with cross-functional stakeholder engagement, vendor management, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and complex telecommunications services.
