TL;DR
Solutions Architect (Payments) (REST APIs/Financial Technology): Designing and delivering scalable payment solutions for strategic enterprise customers with an accent on pre-sales discovery, executive engagement, and end-to-end integrations. Focus on translating complex requirements into compliant architectures, developing proof of concepts, troubleshooting API interactions, and guiding successful enterprise implementations and go-lives.
Location: Sydney or Melbourne, Australia

What you will do
- Lead technical pre-sales discovery, RFPs, proof-of-concepts, product demonstrations, and solution design for strategic enterprise customers.
- Build relationships with executive, business, and technical stakeholders and develop technical strategies with commercial, strategy, marketing, Product, and Engineering teams.
- Design scalable and compliant payment solutions that address complex customer business challenges.
- Own the end-to-end integration journey, including technical onboarding, API troubleshooting, implementation delivery, and go-live readiness.
- Provide customer insights to Product and Engineering teams and contribute to solution frameworks, competitor studies, and go-to-market enablement.
- Travel approximately 10% for in-person meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with strong academic achievements.
- At least 10 years of experience in a customer-facing engineering role such as Solutions Architect, Solution Consultant, or Sales Engineer within a global software enterprise or payments company.
- Strong executive engagement, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of at least one major programming language, such as PHP, Ruby, Python, JavaScript, or Java.
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs into web applications.
- Ability to work from Sydney or Melbourne, Australia.
