Senior Software Engineer (Fintech Platform)

Location: Buenos Aires, Argentina. Currently fully remote with a planned transition to a hybrid setup; candidates are asked whether they are based in Buenos Aires city and willing to work in the future hybrid model.

What you will do

• Architect and implement scalable backend microservices for the Payments, Disbursements, or GRC squad.
• Build secure payment collection and transaction-processing systems.
• Develop reliable services for the timely disbursement of funds to beneficiaries.
• Build onboarding, KYC, and compliance systems aligned with regulatory standards.
• Design and manage infrastructure capable of handling millions of daily requests with strong security and performance.
• Collaborate with product, operations, compliance, and business teams while mentoring junior developers and improving platform capabilities through analytics and user feedback.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent or advanced English.
• Experience building, shipping, and iterating on software applications, preferably in fintech.
• Strong foundations in algorithms, data structures, web services, and REST APIs.
• Knowledge of Hexagonal Architecture, Event-Driven Architecture, A/B testing, feature flags, and gradual rollouts.
• Experience or knowledge related to payment systems, financial disbursements, security, compliance, and KYC/AML processes.

Nice to have

• Experience with financial platforms, payment systems, disbursement solutions, or compliance-driven products.
• Curiosity or experience in fintech and equivalent competencies across the listed areas.
