Software Engineer II with Accounting Experience (Fintech)

Location: Remote in Argentina

Salary: $2,800–$6,000 gross USD per month

What you will do

• Design, develop, install, maintain, and document software solutions for financial processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Develop and deliver new backend features and software tools.
• Use accounting expertise to identify gaps and improve automation and reconciliation workflows.
• Evaluate software processes and metrics, and provide support and consulting on system usage.
• Ensure implementations comply with project plans, coding standards, technical designs, and industry standards.

Requirements

• Prior experience as an accountant or financial analyst.
• Strong understanding of reconciliation, financial reporting, and compliance.
• 3–7 years of experience in software development.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, Java, or Go, plus experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with backend API development, relational databases, software development methodologies, and release processes.
• Required: experience working with Claude or equivalent large language model tools. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is also required.
