Electrical Engineering Intern (Power Systems)

Location: On-site in Wesley Chapel, Florida, part-time during the school year and full-time in the summer

Salary: $24.25–$33.00 per hour

What you will do

• Provide technical support to staff and customers.
• Test new and existing technologies, tools, and customer protection and automation systems.
• Assist engineers with electrical enclosures, test racks, simulators, and testing activities.
• Support HMI creation, PLC programming, power-system studies, and SEL relay settings.
• Develop knowledge of SEL processes and technologies while applying operational and manufacturing principles.

Requirements

• Current student pursuing Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent degree, with at least one year of technical coursework completed.
• Current student graduating in December 2027 or later.
• Ability to work on-site in Wesley Chapel, Florida part-time during the school year and full-time in the summer.
• Experience with programming and script files, plus practical knowledge of three-phase power systems.
• Working knowledge of emulators, logic analyzers, Microsoft Windows, and serial-port terminal emulation software.
• Strong writing, documentation, speaking, learning, and teamwork skills; satisfactory background check and negative drug test required.
