Senior Customer Engineer, Central Territory - Toronto, Canada

Location: Hybrid in Toronto, Canada. Travel of up to 20–50% may be required for customer meetings, conferences, industry events, and in-person collaboration.

Compensation includes a competitive base salary and variable compensation tied to new business acquisition, adoption milestones, and account expansion.

What you will do

• Lead technical discovery, validation, proof-of-concept planning, presentations, demonstrations, and architectural design for enterprise customers.
• Map customer infrastructure across DNS, CDN, Zero Trust, network security, Workers, and related services to fit-for-purpose hirify.global architectures.
• Guide onboarding and adoption through migration blueprints, configuration best practices, technical health monitoring, and risk remediation.
• Partner with Account Executives on discovery, demos, onboarding, expansion strategy, cross-sell, up-sell, and technical QBRs.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor from initial engagement through renewal and expansion, including executive-level business value discussions.
• Use AI agents, LLMs, internal platforms, and automation to streamline RFP responses, sandbox provisioning, telemetry monitoring, and documentation.

Requirements

• Experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineering, Customer Engineering, Professional Services, Sales Engineering, Technical Account Management, or Forward Deployed Engineering.
• Ability to design and explain complex enterprise network and security architectures and translate technical concepts into business outcomes.
• Experience in quota-carrying or revenue-aligned environments, enterprise sales cycles, SaaS metrics, and value-based communication.
• Depth in at least four technical areas, including Internet fundamentals, security, performance, AI proficiency, coding and scripting, or developer platforms.
• Knowledge of technologies such as BGP, GRE, TCP/UDP, DNS, HTTP(S), SSL/TLS, WAF, Zero Trust, SASE, APIs, SDKs, webhooks, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and observability.
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience creating technical enablement materials, workshops, code samples, documentation, or developer onboarding programs.
• Knowledge of LLM orchestration, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, and model-access controls.
• Understanding of PCI DSS, HIPAA, or SOC 2 requirements.
• Experience with hyperscalers, digital-native companies, distributed systems, or startups.
