Senior Software Engineer (Java/Spring Boot)

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable, and reliable backend services for the ePOS team.
• Own features and projects throughout the full software development lifecycle, including operational maintenance.
• Design microservices and APIs, build integrations, and improve system performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with product, design, data science, security, and operations teams on requirements and architecture.
• Improve continuous integration, delivery, deployment, monitoring, testing, and security practices.
• Review code, troubleshoot complex issues, mentor engineers, and promote engineering best practices.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong backend development experience with Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
• Experience designing, building, and operating reliable production services using scalable architectures, microservices, and APIs.
• Strong understanding of databases, data structures, performance trade-offs, and distributed systems.
• Practical experience with Kafka and event-driven systems.
• Experience with monitoring, observability, testing, debugging distributed systems, Agile or Scrum, and autonomous technical decision-making.

Nice to have

• Experience in payments, fintech, or location and business recommendation platforms.
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Helm, Laravel, Reactor, authorization systems, BDD, TDD, or CI/CD pipelines.
• Degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
