Business Analyst, Payments and Fraud

Salary: $90,000–$147,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop and improve payments and fraud KPIs, performance reports, dashboards, and post-launch analyses.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to identify trends, anomalies, revenue opportunities, and payment health issues.
• Analyze fraud rules, alerts, detection workflows, and fraud trends to recommend mitigation strategies.
• Analyze payment decline drivers and support decline salvage, retry, account updater, and processor optimization initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to reduce operational costs and losses while improving authorization rates.
• Communicate root-cause analyses, performance insights, and recommendations across teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in business analytics, preferably in payments and fraud.
• Strong SQL expertise and experience with large, complex datasets.
• Experience building dashboards and reports in Tableau.
• Strong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work remotely from the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with card-not-present subscription-based payments.
• Experience with Cybersource Decision Manager or similar fraud decisioning tools.
