What you will do

• Develop, optimize, and qualify laser-based manufacturing processes for high-volume semiconductor production.
• Optimize laser-material interaction techniques and integrate solutions into manufacturing processes.
• Design optical systems and metrology tools for technology development and production.
• Conduct feasibility studies and pathfinding for laser technologies and innovative device architectures.
• Collaborate with equipment and material suppliers to transfer enabling technologies into production workflows.
• Analyze equipment performance, manufacturing efficiency, and process reliability while creating cost-sensitive technology roadmaps.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in materials science, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, physics, chemistry, or a related field with 4+ years of relevant industry experience; or a master’s degree with 3+ years; or a PhD with 0+ years.
• Experience with equipment systems design, optical metrology, manufacturing process development, laser-material interaction, optical design, or materials science.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and collaborate across teams and organizations.
• This position requires on-site work in Hillsboro, Oregon, United States.
