TL;DR
Network Security Team Manager (Cybersecurity): Managing network security projects across cloud, traditional, and Equinix environments with an accent on Zero Trust networking, micro-segmentation, and enterprise security operations. Focus on coordinating North American rollouts, evaluating security tooling, developing high-performing teams, and balancing security, performance, risk, and technology costs.

Location: Wyoming, Michigan, United States. Core working hours are 8am–5pm Monday through Friday, with overlap across Central and Pacific time zones during standard Eastern Time hours. The role includes a 24/7 on-call rotation for one week every four weeks.

What you will do

  • Manage overlapping network security implementation projects across cloud and traditional networks.
  • Coordinate rollout plans with sites across North America and communicate planned changes in advance.
  • Prioritize network security initiatives across cloud and Equinix interconnect environments.
  • Evaluate, select, purchase, and implement network security tools and technology solutions.
  • Partner with business leaders, IT leadership, technology partners, and third parties to deliver business outcomes.
  • Lead team development, risk mitigation, technology roadmaps, service-level compliance, and information security controls.

Requirements

  • Eight years of information technology experience and two years of supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • In-depth working knowledge of enterprise-level network architectures and operations.
  • Hands-on experience implementing Zero Trust Networking principles and micro-segmentation models.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, planning, organization, influencing, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, develop team members, and work independently and collaboratively.

Nice to have

  • Formal cybersecurity training, certifications, or direct security experience.
  • Practical knowledge of Palo Alto Networks security products and solutions.
