Infrastructure Engineer - Security

Location: Remote within the United States; candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future immigration sponsorship. Willingness to travel to data centers is required.

Salary: $93,700–$177,675 overall. For candidates in Alaska, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York City, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, or the District of Columbia: $107,755–$177,675. All other locations: $93,700–$154,500.

What you will do

• Engineer, administer, maintain, and improve infrastructure platforms across data centers, network architecture, and enterprise environments.
• Monitor infrastructure and network systems for misconfigurations, improve visibility, and support timely remediation.
• Administer and optimize firewalls, web gateways, segmentation tools, VPNs, remote access systems, and network proxy platforms.
• Implement Zero Trust Network Access capabilities based on least-privilege access and business requirements.
• Deliver vulnerability remediation, system hardening, and secure configuration baselines for operating systems, virtual machines, network devices, and other infrastructure components.
• Partner with security, cloud, infrastructure, compliance, IT, and application teams on secure system patterns, audits, risk assessments, and documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in network infrastructure, systems engineering, or a related security-focused role.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience securing enterprise infrastructure, including servers, data centers, firewalls, network controls, identity systems, and cloud-connected environments.
• Experience with proxy technologies, VPNs, secure remote access, ZTNA, firewall ACLs, access control solutions, and network proxy platforms.
• Experience with vulnerability management and remediation for Windows and/or Linux systems.
• Knowledge of identity and access management, least privilege, MFA, privileged access controls, and role-based access.
• United States work authorization without immigration sponsorship is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with system logging, EDR, orchestration and automation, IDS/IPS, and observability platforms such as Splunk, Grafana, or LogicMonitor.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and standards.
• Experience with Cisco, Check Point, Fortinet, or Palo Alto firewalls.
• Availability for evening and weekend work when needed.
