Cloud Security Architect/Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote; travel may be required for meetings, training, presentations, or briefings with project stakeholders

What you will do

• Design and assess secure enterprise cloud architectures and solutions.
• Translate FedRAMP, RMF, and cybersecurity requirements into system and application designs.
• Review architectures to identify threats, attack paths, control gaps, and residual risks.
• Support Federal assessment and authorization and Authority to Operate activities, including security artifacts.
• Develop security controls, reference architectures, security patterns, and recommended mitigations.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, developers, and Government stakeholders throughout implementation.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain the required VA background investigation, suitability determination, and system access.
• At least 10 years of Information Security experience, including at least 5 years of Cybersecurity and Cloud Security experience.
• Experience supporting a large Government agency comparable in size and scope to GSA, IRS, DoD, or VA.
• Expertise in Federal cloud security architecture and engineering.
• Experience with FedRAMP, RMF, and Federal A&A/ATO activities.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant business, cybersecurity, computer science, information systems, or information assurance field, or an accepted combination of certifications or relevant experience.

• VA or large Federal enterprise experience.
• Hybrid or multi-cloud security experience.
• Zero Trust or cloud security automation experience.
