Electrical System Owner (ESO)

Procter & Gamble operates the Dayton Mix Center, where this role owns the site's electrical power and electrical safety systems.

What you will do

• Own electrical power systems from the utility service point down to 50 volts, including switchgear, breakers, relays, generators, transformers, distribution panels, motor control centers, meters, tools, and PPE.
• Maintain single-line drawings, short-circuit studies, coordination studies, arc-flash hazard studies, capacity information, the power system master plan, and disaster recovery resources.
• Manage maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, testing, inspections, defect correction, records, and responses to power system emergencies.
• Lead reviews of proposed electrical system changes and ensure installations comply with applicable codes, laws, and standards.
• Coordinate with the electric utility company on outages, reliability, capacity, and electrical safety.
• Own the site's electrical safety program, including training, qualifications, energized-work permits, temporary wiring permits, PPE and tool selection, contractor participation, and HS&E audits.

Requirements

• Low Voltage Qualification, an electrical engineering technology degree, or a Journeyman or Master Electrician Certificate.
• Knowledge of electrical power distribution, electrical codes, laws, and electrical safety standards.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform team lifts.
• Ability to work at heights and in narrow or confined spaces while using required PPE, including a full-body fall-safety harness.
• Ability to climb, bend, lift, twist, squat, crawl, walk through systems, push and pull equipment, reach overhead, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity.
• Strong oral and written communication and excellent organizational skills.
