Senior ETF Analyst (Fixed Income)

Location: Baltimore, Maryland, United States; hybrid work with up to one day per week from home

Base salary: $91,500–$156,500 per year, depending on location, experience, and skills.

What you will do

• Analyze portfolio manager trade ideas and determine optimal ETF implementation methods.
• Evaluate security, transaction cost, tax lot, liquidity, and volatility data to refine trading strategies.
• Support tax-efficient trading solutions across ETFs and mutual funds, including Redemption In Kind capabilities.
• Build and oversee data foundations, governance, workflows, and data models supporting ETF platform scalability.
• Coordinate projects and roadmap priorities with Portfolio Management, Trading, Technology, Operations, Compliance, and ETF Capital Markets.
• Communicate analytical insights, strategic plans, and best practices to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience, plus 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience extracting, transforming, and manipulating data using REST and SOAP APIs, relational databases, JSON, and XML.
• Programming experience in R and another language such as Python or C/C++.
• Comprehensive understanding of ETFs and tax lot optimization.
• Ability to apply computer science, mathematics, modeling, statistics, and analytics to solve problems.
• FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Nice to have

• Fixed income experience.
• Prior ETF or accounting experience.
• Degree in a quantitative discipline with mathematics and computer science experience.
