Senior Mechanical Engineer (Automotive)

Salary: $73,200–$117,800 per year

What you will do

• Design and redesign functional, reliable, and cost-effective heavy-duty vehicle components.
• Perform engineering calculations, analysis, modeling, and design optimization.
• Prepare and review layouts, drawings, specifications, bills of material, reports, and technical proposals.
• Evaluate designs for performance, safety, reliability, and compliance with engineering standards.
• Collaborate with internal engineering and business teams, suppliers, and customers to resolve technical issues.
• Provide production support, maintain project documentation, and mentor entry-level engineers, designers, and technicians.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited engineering program or related field.
• At least three years of related engineering experience.
• Experience with engineering analysis, component and material selection, and technical documentation.
• Ability to interpret technical procedures, safety rules, engineering standards, and government regulations.
• Availability for routine shift hours, with occasional overtime, weekend work, or shift rotation.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Mechanical knowledge of automotive or heavy-vehicle equipment and related systems.
• Experience with a high-level CAD system.
