Platform QA Chapter Lead (AI)

Location: Berlin, Germany (hybrid); remote and flexible work options are also available, including options for digital nomads and occasional or regular office visitors.

What you will do

• Own the full QA lifecycle for app and platform features, including test planning, execution, reporting, and defect management.
• Lead and mentor QA engineers in the QA chapter, establish testing frameworks and code quality standards, and scale QA processes.
• Design and maintain automated test suites and regression strategies for key flows such as login, payments, live events, and notifications.
• Drive AI-assisted and predictive testing approaches to identify risks earlier, improve coverage, and reduce manual effort.
• Partner with engineering, design, and product teams to embed quality practices early in the release cycle.
• Apply contract, API, performance, and reliability testing across mobile platforms and backend integrations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of QA experience for mobile applications or platforms, including at least 2 years leading teams.
• Experience designing scalable QA processes in fast-paced, development-heavy environments.
• Strong knowledge of automation, regression testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Android Studio, Xcode, Charles, and mobile testing frameworks such as Maestro, Espresso, XCTest, or Appium.
• Experience with backend integration testing, API monitoring, and contract testing frameworks such as Pact.
• Analytical thinking, attention to detail, a user-first mindset, and the ability to build a quality-focused culture.

Nice to have

• Interest in or experience with AI-assisted testing and emerging QA technologies.
• Familiarity with Jira and Notion.
