TL;DR
Test Automation Engineer (Python/Robot Framework): Building reliable and scalable automated tests for business-critical ERP processes and integrations with an accent on Robot Framework, Python, GitHub workflows, and end-to-end traceability. Focus on integrating automation into software development lifecycles, analysing test results and defects, and improving coverage and maintainability across evolving ERP applications.
Location: Cologne, Germany; remote work possible. Work from home can be arranged, including up to 20 days per year anywhere in the EU.

What you will do
- Develop and maintain reliable, scalable automated test solutions across the ERP landscape.
- Integrate test automation into GitHub-based development workflows and support testing throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Connect automated tests with test documentation and management to provide end-to-end traceability.
- Analyse automated test results and defects, identify quality risks, and provide actionable insights.
- Collaborate with QA, engineering, and business stakeholders to improve automation practices, maintainability, and coverage of ERP processes and integrations.
Requirements
- Professional experience in software testing and test automation.
- Hands-on expertise with Robot Framework and Python.
- Experience with version control and collaborative software development workflows.
- Professional German and English language skills are required.
- Ability to work with QA, engineering, and business colleagues to translate quality challenges into practical solutions.
Nice to have
- Experience with AI tools.
- ISTQB certification or an equivalent recognized qualification.
- Experience with API testing, Playwright, CI/CD environments, Java, Microsoft Dynamics, or e-commerce processes.
