The role includes approximately 40% work in a clean room while wearing a full bunny suit, with potential exposure to strong magnetic fields, high voltage, and high currents. Candidates must be legally authorized to access technology controlled under United States Export Administration Regulations.

What you will do

  • Support production of wafer stage chucks and wafer tables within the Production Engineering Group.
  • Check bill of materials structures, evaluate components, and collaborate with design and engineering teams.
  • Define manufacturing procedures, specifications, technical work instructions, and test plans.
  • Introduce new products into production and design production tooling and qualification tests.
  • Troubleshoot electro-mechanical systems and subsystems, evaluate failed parts, and propose solutions.
  • Review supplier failure analysis reports, validate root causes, and analyze metrology flatness data using metrology equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Optical Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience in an engineering environment.
  • Experience supporting precision mechanical or electro-mechanical systems.
  • Ability to work onsite in Wilton, Connecticut, including clean-room work and potential exposure to strong magnetic fields, high voltage, and high currents.
  • Legal authorization to access United States export-controlled technology before starting work.

Nice to have

  • Experience with precision mechanics.
  • Working knowledge of Unigraphics and SAP.
  • Experience with coordinate measuring machine equipment.
