Psychiatric Counselor Full Time Days

Location: 25 N. Winfield Rd., Winfield, Illinois, United States. Full-time onsite role, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. with rotating weekends.

Salary: USD 23.60–33.04 per hour

What you will do

• Deliver direct care to psychiatric patients under the direction of nursing leadership.
• Complete behavioral health intake assessments, admission documentation, patient rights forms, orientation, and safety searches.
• Plan and implement care with the multidisciplinary treatment team and contribute to master treatment plans.
• Facilitate educational, community, wrap-up, expressive therapy, and focus groups for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Support activities of daily living and manage the patient milieu.
• Conduct telephone screenings, report safety incidents, and participate in unit work groups.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• One year of behavioral health unit experience or one completed semester of internship in a behavioral health field.
• Current CPR–Basic Life Support certification.
• De-escalation training must be completed within six months of hire.
• Ability to work the stated day schedule and rotating weekends in Winfield, Illinois.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health science.
