Site Origination Analyst (Solar and BESS)

Salary: $64,000–$92,500 base salary per year

What you will do

• Identify prospective sites for solar and battery energy storage projects using GIS and other siting platforms.
• Perform environmental, utility infrastructure, buildability, title, and other site diligence.
• Build and maintain relationships with prospective landowners throughout project development.
• Coordinate with engineering and development teams on project layouts, utility interconnection applications, permits, zoning, environmental compliance, and external consultants.
• Negotiate land leases, purchase agreements, rights of way, easements, and access roads.
• Prepare financial models, analyze project returns and market economics, and provide strategic input for assigned markets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, sustainable business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 6 months of experience in land origination, renewable technology, interconnection, or a similar area.
• Experience with GIS platforms such as Ander and Paces and CRM tools such as Salesforce.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Familiarity with site due diligence and negotiating agreements and contracts.
• Strong communication skills for working with internal and external teams.
