Research Analyst - US Solar (Solar)

Location: Boston, United States; office-based role

Base salary: $90,000–$100,000 per year, excluding short-term incentive compensation and commission.

What you will do

• Expand coverage of distributed solar markets across the Americas.
• Identify and acquire qualitative and quantitative data on solar markets, community solar, solar-plus-storage, and competitive landscapes.
• Write research reports on solar industry trends, vendors, and strategies.
• Aggregate and summarize project-level datasets, track market activity, and forecast product adoption.
• Present research to clients and industry stakeholders at conferences, trade shows, and other events.
• Collaborate with research, sales, marketing, editorial, and advisory teams to support client engagements and business development.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in the solar or renewable energy industries.
• Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical capabilities and experience writing market analysis.
• Experience with data management; Python and SQL are preferred but not required.
• Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, communication, presentation, writing, documentation, organization, and listening skills.
• Interest in U.S. residential and commercial solar markets, including major players, current events, and trends.
• Ability to engage with clients, executives, coworkers, and industry stakeholders in professional settings.
