CNC Applications Manager

Location: Elmwood Park, New Jersey, USA; onsite manufacturing role

Company

Aerospace manufacturing and engineering business developing rigid tubing, flexible hose assemblies, and custom-engineered fluid transfer systems for commercial aviation, defense, and space applications.

What you will do

• Develop and optimize CNC programs for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machining centers, CNC lathes, and mill-turn machines using Mastercam or comparable CAD/CAM software.
• Develop machining processes from drawing review through production release for complex geometries, tight-tolerance components, and difficult-to-machine materials.
• Lead cutting-tool, toolholder, coating, insert, workholding, and machining-strategy applications.
• Support CNC setup, first-run prove-outs, first-piece inspection, production launches, and shop-floor troubleshooting.
• Lead cycle-time reduction, machine-utilization, process-reliability, and continuous-improvement projects.
• Provide technical direction and training to CNC programmers, setup personnel, machinists, and manufacturing support employees.

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on CNC manufacturing experience in programming, setup, prove-out, troubleshooting, and process optimization.
• Advanced proficiency with Mastercam or comparable CAD/CAM software, including deburring.
• Experience with 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machining centers and lathes.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, tolerances, surface-finish requirements, and machining specifications.
• Strong knowledge of cutting tools, holders, coatings, speeds, feeds, and machining parameters.
• Experience with complex, precision, or tight-tolerance components and the ability to manage multiple technical priorities independently.
