Senior Hydrographic Surveyor

Location: Amsterdam Noord, Netherlands, with fieldwork and survey operations.

What you will do

• Execute geophysical survey operations according to internal procedures and client specifications.
• Prepare projects through geological desktop studies and survey planning.
• Mobilise and calibrate survey vessels and equipment.
• Process geophysical survey data, perform QA/QC, create charts, and write reports.
• Maintain measuring instruments and survey equipment.
• Handle project-level administrative requirements and collaborate with project teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geophysics, Geology, or a related Earth Science.
• At least five years of experience in a similar position.
• Knowledge of side scan sonar, sub-bottom profiler, and magnetometer acquisition and processing.
• Valid category B driver’s licence, preferably including BE.
• Fluent English, written and verbal.
• Accuracy, flexibility, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
