Global Trade Compliance Analyst / Associate (Logistics)

What you will do

• Review commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, air waybills, certificates, permits, and other trade documents before customs declarations.
• Identify missing information, inconsistencies, and potential compliance issues, then coordinate timely resolution with clients, brokers, freight forwarders, 3PLs, and internal teams.
• Monitor document intake, workflow statuses, outstanding actions, broker responses, exceptions, operational KPIs, and audit trails.
• Support tariff classification activities by reviewing product descriptions, specifications, composition, function, intended use, and existing classification records.
• Assist with client, country, broker, and workflow implementations, including requirements gathering, system setup, testing, onboarding, and user training.
• Prepare dashboards, trackers, KPI reports, SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation while supporting process improvement and digital transformation initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience or educational background in trade compliance, customs clearance, logistics, supply chain, freight forwarding, import/export operations, or international trade.
• Understanding of import/export processes, customs documentation, and international trade operations.
• Ability to identify documentation discrepancies and data inconsistencies with strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge or exposure to HS/HTS tariff classification, customs valuation, country of origin, Free Trade Agreements, and customs compliance requirements.
• Experience with digital workflow platforms, dashboards, document management systems, operational tracking systems, and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication, coordination, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple workflows and priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP GTS, SAP S/4HANA, or other global trade management systems.
• Exposure to export control classification, including ECCN or similar frameworks.
• Technical education in industrial, electrical, electronics, chemical engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience with operational implementations, client onboarding, process transitions, system testing, or SOP rollouts.
