Head of Finance (Crypto)

Location: Remote, based in Cyprus

hirify.global is a global cryptocurrency platform offering spot trading, margin, futures, staking, and OTC services for individual and institutional clients.

What you will do

• Lead financial regulatory compliance and reporting for the Cyprus-based MiFID firm, Payward Europe Digital Solutions.
• Prepare regulatory reports, financial metrics, budgets, financial statements, and periodic updates for senior leadership and the Board.
• Oversee monthly and quarterly closings, financial and treasury reconciliations, and client funding reconciliations.
• Develop financial policies, internal controls, compliance procedures, and remediation plans for residual risks.
• Coordinate with Finance, Treasury, Banking & Payments, Compliance, Legal, Product, Operations, auditors, and other global functions.
• Support financial systems requirements, license applications and renewals, asset segregation compliance, and financial projects.

Requirements

• 12–15 years of experience in financial analysis, regulatory reporting, or a similar role.
• 3–5 years of experience in fintech or a relevant industry, preferably cryptocurrency or virtual asset services.
• Relevant degree in Finance or Accounting; ACA or another relevant certification.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulatory requirements, financial reporting standards, MiFID II, and custodial or safeguarding obligations.
• Experience with financial analysis and reporting tools, reconciliations, internal controls, and regulatory reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, cross-functional collaboration, and organizational skills.

Nice to have

• Experience regulating virtual asset services or money service businesses in Cyprus or a similar jurisdiction.
• Personal experience with cryptocurrency and an interest in crypto adoption.
