Product Manager, Fixed Case and Tote Storage (Material Handling)

Location: Dortmund, Germany. Full-time role with flexible and mobile working; travel up to 25% to customer sites, EMEA facilities, trade shows, and global R&D or Product Management locations.

What you will do

• Own execution-focused product roadmaps, schedules, milestones, delivery plans, and lifecycle activities from new product introduction through modernization and sunset.
• Lead tollgate processes from TG00 through TG90, managing readiness reviews, risks, decisions, dependencies, and on-time delivery.
• Manage product business cases, budgets, pricing inputs, revenue, margin, investment priorities, and commercial risks.
• Coordinate EMEA requirements and adoption of global products across sales, engineering, manufacturing, procurement, service, and regional leadership.
• Partner with R&D and cross-functional teams to define requirements, evaluate technical trade-offs, prepare documentation and training, and support commercialization.
• Engage customers and sales teams to assess product fit, capture feedback, analyze market and competitor needs, and shape product improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or another technical field.
• 8–10 years of product management or closely related product-leadership experience with complex technical products.
• At least 3 years of experience in material handling, intralogistics, warehouse automation, or supply-chain technology.
• Experience leading cross-functional development, commercialization, lifecycle programs, and formal tollgate processes.
• Strong commercial and strategic-business acumen, including business cases, budgets, revenue, margin, pricing, and portfolio trade-offs.
• Technical understanding across mechanical, electrical, controls, and software topics, plus strong communication, prioritization, collaboration, and leadership skills.

Nice to have

• MBA or master's degree in engineering.
• Five or more years of direct project-management experience or PMP certification.
• Experience with shuttle, goods-to-person, or ultra-high-density storage technologies.
