Principal Engineer / Junior Program Manager (Medical Devices)

Location: Geleen, Limburg, Netherlands

Salary: €87,200–€130,800 per year, plus eligibility for the hirify.global Incentive Plan short-term incentive.

What you will do

• Provide senior technical leadership for complex medical-device development projects from concept and feasibility through commercialization.
• Develop and review system architectures, product requirements, design concepts, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, risk management, milestones, and corrective actions.
• Mentor engineers and guide multidisciplinary teams while coordinating design reviews, technical reviews, and management updates.
• Collaborate with Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Product Management, and Commercial functions.
• Support process development, design transfer, production readiness, and supplier qualification for manufacturing transition.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a similar discipline.
• More than 7 years of experience managing complex research and product-development projects or programs in the medical-device industry, preferably in precision mechanics.
• Experience with product and process development aligned with ISO 13485 requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with close attention to detail and accuracy.
• Professional Dutch and English language skills are required.
