Base pay: €82,900–€144,210 per year

What you will do

  • Lead a Center of Expertise team of engineers and supervisors focused on upstream processes, equipment, and quality initiatives.
  • Set objectives, coach team members, and build a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.
  • Collaborate with Downstream Processing COE, Make Asset Management, Quality Assurance, MSAT, and R&D on cross-functional projects.
  • Drive data-based improvements in upstream processing yield, performance, safety, quality, reliability, and financial results.
  • Lead the introduction of new biopharmaceutical products and ensure upstream process and equipment readiness.
  • Maintain validated processes and equipment in compliance with GMP while advancing LEAN problem-solving practices.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • 8–10 years of industrial operations management experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience leading change and solving complex problems in operational environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with safety, quality, EHS, cGMP standards, operational best practices, and industry trends.

Nice to have

  • Experience in pharmaceutical or upstream processing environments.
  • Project management expertise and familiarity with LEAN methodologies.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
  • Established relationships with external stakeholders.
