Propulsion Design Engineer, Propulsion - Engine Integration (w/m/f)

What you will do

• Own complex engine assemblies from initial concept through qualification, production, and hardware delivery.
• Design engine hardware, structural components, fluid routing, and subsystem packaging using CAD tools.
• Create detailed 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and engine layout improvements.
• Define and manage interfaces with fluid systems, combustion, structures, manufacturing, and testing teams.
• Drive iterative optimisation of flight-proven hardware, reducing weight, part count, and cost while meeting functional requirements.
• Perform structural and thermal analyses to verify component performance and system reliability.

Requirements

• M.Sc. or M.Eng. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience designing complex mechanical assemblies in the aerospace sector.
• Experience with machining processes, tolerancing, technical drawing standards, and design for manufacturability.
• Proficiency with CAD software, preferably Siemens NX, including part and assembly modelling and drawing creation.
• Experience with structural and thermal analysis using analytical methods and simulation tools.
• Fluent English and willingness to work onsite in Parsdorf, Germany.

Nice to have

• Experience with rocket engine design and development.
• Knowledge of fluid plans and rocket engine architectures.
• Experience with Python or similar languages for engineering automation.
• Experience with Siemens Teamcenter or another PLM system.
• Professional working proficiency in German.
