TL;DR
Intern, Software Development Engineer (AI/Localization) (Python/AWS): Improving machine translation quality and developing cloud-native continuous localization workflows with an accent on multilingual data, NLP, generative AI, and automation. Focus on evaluating translation systems, building event-driven Python services, and improving the scalability and production readiness of localization infrastructure.
Location: Singapore, SGP; on-site role

What you will do
- Investigate translation quality and workflow issues and evaluate machine translation using automated metrics and multilingual test data.
- Support data analysis, testing, automation, and documentation for translation quality improvements.
- Explore NLP, generative AI, and large language model applications in localization.
- Develop and test cloud-native localization workflows, Python services, automation scripts, and API integrations.
- Work with AWS, containers, event-driven technologies, monitoring, troubleshooting, and production-readiness activities.
- Collaborate with localization, language, and software engineering professionals to improve workflow scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with graduation expected in 2027 or 2028.
- Programming or scripting knowledge, preferably Python, with a basic understanding of software development, APIs, data structures, and debugging.
- Some exposure to machine learning, NLP, cloud computing, or distributed systems.
- Familiarity with Git or another source-control system and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Available for a 6-month full-time internship from 11 January to 25 June 2027.
- On-site in Singapore; in-person onboarding and/or identity verification may be required.
Nice to have
- Python, data processing, or automated testing experience.
- Experience with machine learning, NLP, machine translation, generative AI, or LLMs.
- Experience with AWS, Docker, serverless or event-driven architectures, REST APIs, webhooks, GitHub APIs, or CI/CD.
- Experience with multilingual data or languages other than English.
