is part of a Singapore-headquartered video game development company specializing in full-cycle game development, art production, and R&D for console, PC, and mobile games.
What you will do
- Build and maintain scalable Python services and secure RESTful APIs with FastAPI.
- Own backend features from technical design and implementation through testing, deployment, and support.
- Integrate LLMs and other AI services, developing structured workflows, tool interfaces, streaming responses, and multi-agent systems.
- Design database access, caching, asynchronous processing, authentication, authorization, and reliable error handling.
- Improve observability through logging, metrics, and tracing, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments.
- Collaborate with product, frontend, AI, and infrastructure teams; conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend development experience, including 2+ years developing AI-powered applications or services.
- Strong Python and FastAPI expertise, including asynchronous programming, type annotations, Pydantic, dependency injection, and RESTful API design.
- Experience integrating AI APIs or SDKs, designing prompts and structured outputs, and managing context, hallucinations, prompt injection, rate limits, and token costs.
- Hands-on public cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, plus database experience with PostgreSQL or another relational database.
- Experience with secure API design, testing, Git, CI/CD, Docker, concurrency control, timeouts, retries, idempotency, and rate limiting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese.
Nice to have
- AWS experience with services such as S3, SageMaker, DynamoDB, ECS, CloudWatch, or Secrets Manager.
- Frontend experience with Vue or React, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
- Experience with agent frameworks, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, local LLM deployment, or multimodal AI.
