TL;DR
GFIT Intern, Machine Learning and Generative AI (AI/Smart Manufacturing): Designing and prototyping AI, generative AI, computer vision, and agentic AI solutions for manufacturing operations with an accent on automated reporting, anomaly explanation, knowledge management, and factory-system integration. Focus on building and evaluating machine learning models, exploring LLM frameworks, and developing autonomous and multi-agent systems for manufacturing processes.
Location: Woodlands, Singapore. Onsite role at Seagate's manufacturing site; no travel required.

What you will do
- Design and prototype AI and generative AI solutions for smart manufacturing use cases.
- Develop AI-powered tools for automated report generation, anomaly explanation, and knowledge management.
- Build, train, evaluate, and optimize machine learning and computer vision models.
- Explore LLMs, generative AI frameworks, and agentic AI systems, including autonomous and multi-agent solutions.
- Develop and test integrations between AI solutions and factory systems.
- Collaborate with data scientists, AI engineers, software developers, and cross-functional teams on proof-of-concept solutions.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, artificial intelligence, data science, or a related field.
- Python programming skills.
- Knowledge of machine learning and deep learning concepts.
- Understanding of natural language processing, large language models, generative AI, and computer vision.
- Passion for AI, software engineering, and solving industrial challenges, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work onsite at the Woodlands manufacturing site in Singapore.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with AI agent frameworks such as LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel, or similar technologies.
- Experience with software development and system integration concepts.
