Software Engineer III (React)

What you will do

• Build and evolve reusable UI components, patterns, and design system foundations with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Design scalable, accessible, and business-logic-agnostic component APIs for multiple teams, applications, and domains.
• Lead technical design discussions and influence architecture decisions involving component systems, theming, accessibility, performance, and developer experience.
• Partner with Product Design, Accessibility, Front-End Platform, and application engineering teams to translate design systems into scalable solutions.
• Drive design system adoption through documentation, tooling, migration guidance, and developer enablement.
• Improve shared frontend infrastructure, including Storybook, testing, accessibility validation, design token pipelines, and developer workflows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building modern frontend applications, frontend platforms, shared UI libraries, or design systems.
• Strong expertise in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, including modern component architecture and browser behavior.
• Experience building, maintaining, or scaling reusable component libraries or design systems used by multiple teams.
• Strong knowledge of component API design, composition patterns, hooks, accessibility patterns, developer ergonomics, design tokens, and theming systems.
• Experience leading technical initiatives, influencing engineering decisions, solving ambiguous problems, and mentoring engineers.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Style Dictionary, token governance, token pipelines, multi-brand or multi-theme frontend architectures.
• Experience with advanced Storybook capabilities, including interaction, accessibility, and visual testing.
• Experience with Next.js, React Server Components, Server Actions, streaming, monorepos, package publishing, codemods, or automated migration tooling.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools or defining frontend standards, governance models, and platform strategy.
• Background in e-commerce, high-scale consumer applications, Agile environments, or cloud infrastructure.
