Design Engineer (React/TypeScript)

Location: On-site in San Francisco, United States. Relocation to the United States is supported for the right candidates, and visa sponsorship is available.

What you will do

• Design and build intuitive interfaces for core member journeys, including understanding health results and navigating ongoing care.
• Translate complex health information into clear, accessible experiences with product, design, clinical, and engineering teams.
• Create interactive prototypes in Figma or code to explore ideas and test assumptions.
• Build reusable components and interaction patterns with React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and Storybook.
• Own responsive layouts, loading and error states, accessibility, performance, testing, and debugging from prototype through release.
• Integrate real data with backend and mobile engineers and improve shipped experiences through feedback and product usage.

Requirements

• Portfolio demonstrating interfaces personally designed and built, technical decisions, and attention to detail.
• Strong experience with React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frontend development practices.
• Strong visual and interaction design judgment across typography, hierarchy, spacing, and motion.
• Experience building production interfaces for real data, multiple screen sizes, accessibility needs, and edge cases.
• Ability to work independently from prototype through release, including testing and debugging code developed with AI tools.
• Ability to work in person in San Francisco, United States, or relocate there with available visa sponsorship.
