Race Manager (Cycling)

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States, or Schweinfurt, Germany. The role requires domestic and international travel of up to 40% of the time, including weekends, and attendance at cycling events.

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 annually, based on skills and experience. For candidates based in Schweinfurt, compensation follows experience and local market standards.

What you will do

• Lead and develop a high-performing global team of Race Technicians.
• Manage technical requirements for professional teams and athletes in collaboration with product stakeholders.
• Collect technical feedback from teams and communicate it to product development.
• Scout future teams and athletes and develop, negotiate, and manage sponsorship contracts.
• Support cross-functional sponsorship activation and represent racing in marketing and go-to-market planning.
• Manage the racing budget and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Sports Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10 years of experience in Sports Marketing, Communications, or a similar field.
• At least 3 years of direct people-management or related management experience.
• Experience building and executing global sports marketing strategies, with extensive knowledge of the global bicycle and racing industry.
• Strong communication, organization, time-management, budget-planning, and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Strong bicycle mechanic skills, including complete race-bike assembly; proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Nice to have

• Experience working with professional road, gravel, triathlon, or cyclocross racing teams and athletes.
